The Sun is Also a Star By Nicola Yoon

The Sun is Also a Star By Nicola Yoon

Description- Natasha: I'm a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I'm definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won't be my story.
Daniel: I've always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents' high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget all about that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store-for both of us.
The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?

My Review- This book is about two different races coming together. Even though at first Natasha wasn't falling for him, she eventually falls for the boy she met in one day. That same day that her family was being deported back to Jamaica due to an issue with her father. Natasha and her father aren't as close as they used to be. This book shows that race doesn't matter. If you love someone, than you should love them and not care what the people around you think. Recommend 10/10

The Isle of the Lost By Melissa De La Cruz

Description-  Maleficent, Mistress of the Dark- As self-proclaimed ruler of the isle, Maleficent has no tolerance for anything less than pure evil. She has little time for her subjects, who have still not mastered life without magic. Her only concern is getting off the Isle of the Lost.
Mal- At sixteen, Maleficent's daughter is the most talented student at Dragon Hall, best known for her evil schemes. And when she hears about the search for the Dragon's eye, Mal thinks this could be her chance to prove herself the cruelest of them all.
Evie- Having been castle-schooled for years, Evil Queen's daughter Evie doesn't know the ins and outs of Dragon Hall. But she's a quick study, especially after she falls for one too many of Mal's little tricks.
Jay- As the son of Jafar, Jay is a boy of many talents: stealing and lying, to name a couple. Jay and Mal have been frenemies forever, and he's not about to miss out on the quest for the Dragon's Eye.
Carlos- Cruella De Vil's son may not be the bravest, but he's certainly clever. Carlos's inventions may be the missing piece in locating the Dragon's Eye and ending their banishment for good.
Twenty years ago, all the evil villains were banished from the Kingdom of Auradon to the Isle of the Lost- a dark and dreary place protected by a force field that makes it impossible for them to leave. Stripped of their magical powers, the villains now live in total isolation, forgotten by the world.
But hidden in the Forbidden Fortress is a Dragon's Eye: the key to true darkness and the villains' only hope of escape. Only the cleverest, evilest, nastiest villain can find it. . . who will it be?
In the quest for the Dragon's Eye, these kids are proof that just because you come from an evil family tree, being good ain't so bad.

My Review- If you're like me and like the original Disney Princess movies then you'll like this book. This book is based on the evil villains kids. I like this book for the way the told it. This book is before the VK's (Villain Kids) went to Auradon, (For those who have seen the movie). It gives the reader more insight of the Isle. I recommend reading it and then watching the movie, then reading the second and third book. Especially kids. They will enjoy it.

Description- Tessa and Hardin have had enough surprises. Their bond is stronger than ever, but every new challenge they face shakes their foundation-and Hardin's impenetrable facade -to the core. As the shocking truth about each of their families emerges, its clear the two lovers are not so different from each other. Tessa is no longer the sweet, simple, good girl she was when she met Hardin-any more than he is cruel, moody boy she fell so hard for. Tessa understands all the troubling emotions brewing within Hardin, and she knows she's the only one who can calm him when he erupts. He needs her. But the more layers of his past that come to the light, the darker he grows, and the harder he pushes Tessa- and everyone else in his life away. After all this time, Tessa's not sure is she really can save him-not without sacrificing herself. Is love worth losing her identity? She refuses to go down without a fight. But who is she really fighting for- Hardin or herself?

My Review-  This is the last book in the After series. Hardin and Tessa go through many rough patches and they try to fix it. Eventually they end up together but after they both have lost so much in the mix. Tessa didn't know if she could do the back and forth any more, but she fights it. And Hardin, he tries to change and eventually he isn't the dick that he used to be. If you like this series, Anna Todd has created more books. Rate 10/10
