Description-  Now......... Sixteen year old Jesse is used to living with the echos of the past. After her older brother died in the September 11 attacks, her dad filled their home with anger and grief. When Jesse gets caught up with the wrong crowd, one thoughtless decision turned her life upside down. The only way to make amends is to face the past, starting with Jesse on a journey that could reveal the truth about her brother's death.
  Then.....................
In 2001, sixteen year old Alia is a proud Muslim-it's life as a teenager that she finds challenging. After being grounded for a stupid mistake, Alia decides to confront her father at his office in one of the Twin Towers. But when the planes collide into the building, Alia finds herself in danger she could never imagined. As the flames raged, she has no choice but to trust a boy she just met and hope they have enough to make it out alive.

Interweaving the past and present, this haunting and heart-wrenching story brings one of the most important days in our history to life, showing that hatred and love have the power reverberate far into the future.

My Review- Everyone knows what happened on 9/11 almost 16 years ago. This book has a point of view of a girl that was actually in the towers and a girl who lost her brother in the towers. The point of views change through out the book and you see how Muslims were treated before and after 9/11. You see that one group of a certain religion could change the point of view for all of that religion. It makes you see that not all Muslims are terrorist, yet there are some that are. I recommend this book. 10/10

After We Fell By Anna Todd

Description- Just as Tessa makes the biggest decision of her life, everything changes. Revelations about her first family, and then Hardin's throw everything they knew before in doubt and makes their hard-won future together more difficult to claim.

Tessa's life begins to come unglued. Nothing is what she thought it was. Not her friends. Not her family. The only person she should be able to rely on, Hardin, is furious when he discovers the massive secret she's been keeping. And rather than being understanding, he turns to sabotage.

Tessa knows Hardin loves her and will do anything to protect her, but there is a difference between loving someone and being able to have them in you life. This cycle of jealousy, unpredictable anger, and forgiveness is exhausting. She's never felt so intensely for anyone, so exhilarated by someone's kiss but is the irrepressible heat between her and Hardin worth all the drama? Love used to be enough to hold them together. But if Tessa follows her heart now, will it be...the end?

My Review- This book, like the other two has tons of drama. They fight over the stupidest things, and how controlling Hardin is. Tessa ends up leaving and goes after her dreams, but Hardin soon realizes that he can't live without her. Tessa also goes through a traumatic event that involved her so called friends and Hardin isn't there to save her. Zed is.Zed and Hardin hash it out, but Zed eventually leaves her alone. If you are under the age of 13 I recommend you read this book when you are a tad bit older.

Love And First Sight By Josh Sundquist

Love And First Sight By Josh Sundquist

Description - On his first day at a new school, blind sixteen-year-old Will Porter accidentally groped a girl on the stairs, sat on another student in the cafeteria, and somehow drove a new classmate to tears. High school can only get better from there, right?

As Will starts to find his footing, he develops a crush on a sweet but shy girl names Cecily. And despite his fear that having a girlfriend will make him inherently dependent on someone sighted, the two of them grow closer and closer. Then an unprecedented opportunity arises: an experimental surgery that could give Will eyesight for the first time in his life. But learning to see is more difficult than Will ever imagined, and he soon realizes that the sighted world has been keeping secrets. It turns out that Cecily doesn't meet traditional definitions of beauty-in fact, everything  he'd heard about her appearance was a lie by their so-called friends to get the two of them together. Does it matter what Cecily looks like? No, not really. But then why does Will feel so betrayed?

My Review- Reading this book gave me so many emotions. For one Will is blind and he is going to a new school. He doesn't like getting pitied by anyone. He wants to be independent. He meets Cecily for the first time, and she runs out crying and he doesn't know why. They then start hanging out and Will starts to fall for her. When Will finally gets his surgery he sees that she has a birthmark on her forehead. They get into an argument and she leaves for California. This book made me realize that being able to see is a privilege. It made me want realize that people may look differently on the outside but are really special on the inside. If you want a good love story, this book is one for you. I recommend 10/10

After We Collided By Anna Todd

Description- After a tumultuous beginning to their relationship, Tessa and Hardin were on the path to making things work. Tessa knew that Hardin could be cruel, but when a bombshell revelation is dropped about the origins of their relationship-and Hardin's mysterious past-Tessa is beside herself.
Hardin will always be...Hardin. But is he really the deep, thoughtful guy Tessa fell madly in love with despite his angry exterior-or has he been a stranger all along? She wishes she could walk away, It's just not that easy. Not with the memory of passionate nights spent in his arms, His electric touch. His hungry kisses.
Still, Tessa's not sure she can endure one more broken promise. She put so much on hold for Hardin-school, friends, her mom, her relationship with a guy who really loved her, and now possibly even a promising new career. She needs to move forward with her life.
Hardin knows he made a mistake, possibly the biggest one of his life. He's not going down without a fight. But can he change? Will he change...for love?

My Review- This is the second book in the After series. The book continues where the first one left off. It takes you into Hardin and Tessa's relationship, like your actually there, and makes you feel what their feeling. This book is also in both of their point of views. The drama continues as Tessa tries to move on from Hardin with one of his friends, or so called friend. That causes so much anger for Hardin to the point where he beats up that friend. If you are under the age of 13 I don't recommend reading this until you are a little bit older.

13 Reasons Why By Jay Asher

13 Reasons Why By Jay Asher

Description- Clay Jensen doesn't want anything to do with the tapes Hannah Baker made. Hannah is dead. Her secrets should be buried with her.

Then Hannah's voice tells Clay that his name is on her tapes-and that he is, in some way, responsible for her death.

All through the night, Clay keeps listening. He follows Hannah's recorded words throughout his small town...and what he discovers changes his life forever.

My Review- This book will make you cry, no doubt about it. If you have watched the show, which I know many of you have, then this book is a little bit different than that. It's not as triggering to someone who suffers from mental illness as the show is, but it does make you think. It makes you think about what you say to others around you and how they take that information. It makes you realize that some of those things that come out of your mouth can hurt the ones around you. Yeah it may have been a joke to you, but to that person it wasn't. I really enjoyed this book and how it made me see society differently. I hope you read this book and I hope that the next time you want to say something to someone, stop and think about what their life is like and how you would feel if you were in their shoes. And if you haven't seen the show yet, I recommend watching it when you finish the book.

Description- Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She's got direction, ambition, and a mother who's intent on keeping her that way. But she's barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she's used to.
But he's also rude-to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does-until she finds herself alone with him in his room. Something about his dark mood grabs her, and when they kiss, it ignites within her a passion she's never even known before.
He'll call her beautiful, then insist he isn't the one for her and disappear without a word. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa's compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. He pushes her away again and again, yet every time she pushes back, he only pulls her in deeper.
Tessa is already has the perfect boyfriend. So why is she trying so hard to overcome her own hurt pride and Hardin's prejudice about nice girls like her.
     Unless...could this be love?

My Review- After is just one of 4 books in this series. If you like the first one, I recommend reading all of them. After is basically your typically college life with parties, school, and the drugs, but it also has two individuals who are complete opposites that fall in love. They do the things that the other one hates and constantly fights. (which makes the book good. Who doesn't like drama right?) It also has people who are great friends and don't judge someone for being who they are. I enjoyed this book but if you're under the age of 13 I don't recommend reading it until you are a little older. This series contains a lot of mature content. If you want to read the original fan-fiction of this book its on an app or site called wattpad.

The Fault In Our Stars By John Green

The Fault In Our Stars  By John Green

Description- Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.

My Review-  The Fault in Our Stars made me cry. It's one of those books that are good for when you need a good cry. It shows the reader, well me, that when you are near death and you have something terminal like her cancer, that you can overcome it and still find love. It also is good for crying because it shows maybe what a young person goes through when they lose someone. Recommend 10/10

Everything, Everything By Nicola Yoon

Everything, Everything By Nicola Yoon.

Description-  My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I'm allergic to the world. I don't leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He's tall, lean, and wearing all black- black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit hat that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we can't predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I, Maddy, am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It's almost certainly going to be a disaster.

My Review- This book will bring you full of emotion. The ending will surprise you. It will show you what a girl, whose been inside for 17 years feels, and acts like. It will make you want to go outside and never take that freedom for granted, well it did for me. Everything, Everything is a special book and I think it should be read by all young adult/teenagers. It will make you see the world differently and respect the ones living with illnesses. I recommend 10/10

How I came to make this blog and why

Hey guys, this is my first ever post on this. I read a book called Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. That book gave me the idea to start a book review blog. I hope you guys like my reviews, but if not, that's okay too. If you want to suggest any books for me to read, feel free to comment on any post and I'll try to read them.

I wanted to make this blog for all the book lovers out there who didn't know who to confide in of their thoughts. I have hardly who I can talk to about a good book. I really hope you enjoy this blog, and feel free to let your friends know. (If they're book lovers too!)
